We’ve all heard stories of drivers blindly following their Sat Nav instructions down dead ends and into fields!
But even sensible sat-nav users can get caught out in the winter.
Unless you set it for specific road types, most sat-nav’s default to shortest route – often B roads & country lanes; chances are these roads will not be gritted.
So if you’re driving in this lovely winter weather, set the sat-nav to stick to main roads, and/or check the route against an old-fashioned paper map…
